I don’t know about you guys but I ABSOLUTELY love this time of the year. I love the holiday season and I mean once we get into October 1st, your girl is one happy camper! Something about how all the months are so different from one another. October is filled with candy, costumes, scary movies, and scares. November is filled with food, family, friends and thanks. Then you have December which is like the main attraction. You have Christmas Music, gift giving, sales everywhere, Hallmark/ABC Family Christmas Movies, Jesus’s Birthday, Christmas Trees, Christmas Lights, Sweets, my birthday ;), days off, reindeer, ugly sweaters, I mean the list just goes on! So it got me thinking…

I want to share some of my holiday traditions and must haves for December (in no particular order)

  • Blast Christmas music as much as I can. I will Jingle Bell Rock around the clock! Mark my word! Something about the classics and the modern versions of songs just makes my heart melt. Also, the best boy band in the world made the BEST Christmas Album ever! N*SYNC!!!!! OMG growing up and hearing the album when it came out made my Christmas even that much better! Track 1, I’ll Be Home With Christmas: Voices of angels starting singing, “Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh then BAM your head starts bobbing. You catch my drift! Christmas music is everything!!
  • Buy Victoria’s Secret Pajamas of some sort. This is a bit of newer tradition but I’ve always loved Victoria’s Secret and PINK by VS. I mean they have the cutest patterns, comfiest PJS and the cutest sets!
  • Christmas Tree Shopping! I know I should buy a fake tree but I love the smell of real Christmas trees and the excitement of picking out the right one.
  • Watching “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” yes you read that right. This movie has the right amount of cheese, laughs and JTT! The heartthrob from the 90’s.
  • Opening Presents at midnight! Growing up my family and I celebrated Christmas Eve by opening presents into Christmas Day. The excitement of the clocking hitting 12 and seeing everyone smile as they open gifts. Just love seeing how happy and excited everyone is. Also it’s not always about the presents but the fact that we get to spend time with one another too.
  • My mom cooks breakfast Christmas morning! It’s always so fun waking up early and smelling breakfast being made in the kitchen. I love the smell of coffee and being gathered around the table talking.
  • Spending time with loved ones is the absolute best thing about the season. Holiday season is a stressful time but being with the ones you love and care for definitely makes you realize how lucky you are. Plus isn’t it priceless to catch up and share stories.

There you have it, just a few of my favorite holiday traditions! What are yours?!

Wishing you ALL a very Merry Christmas! May God bless you and your families <3
