Thanksgiving was never really one of my favorite holidays. I’m going to be honest with you between going through a painful (emotionally) Thanksgiving one year and always battling my mind not to give into old habits from overeating. I just fill overly anxious this time every year. There are a million things to be grateful for. Why am I letting negative thoughts cloud my mind?

This is what makes me sad about the world we live in today. We live in a society where being good is respected yet uncool. Being Bad/evil is always more favorable. It’s like we’re living backwards (at least in my opinion)

One thing I did learn this year is that you can’t change the world if you don’t change your mindset. So by choosing to not give into those negative thoughts I hope I can become a better person. I want to be able to count my blessings more than my worries. I mean there are a million things to be thankful for.

Here are some just to name a few:

  • God. I am so grateful to have a relationship with Christ. Just reflecting on my old life and how much the lord has changed it amazes me. To also see him work in so many peoples lives too is beyond incredible. His plans are far greater than we can ever imagine and I am thankful for everything because of him.
  • I have the most amazing family. Having being raised by such a strong women and also by a bad ass sister I am beyond thankful for these two ladies. They not only encourage me but they inspire me constantly.
  • My husband. Yes I have a hubby. I’m still getting used to saying that. Jared is just one of those people that can light up anyone’s day. He’s so caring, calm, loving and funny. I am thankful that the Lord gave us a second chance.
  • My best friends. This year has been a big year for a lot of us and I would be lost without them. I love them and the support they give me. Also no matter how many miles we all live from each other I know that we’ll still be there for one another.
  • Opportunities. I have been blessed with getting new talent representation this year. I have been on some great auditions and come close. Although I may have not booked the roles I am extremely thankful to have the opportunities I’ve been given. Just being in the room and living in the city of dreams helps me realize that it is possible. I just have to keep pushing and moving forward. Every opportunity I receive is a chance to grow.

There is always something to be thankful for <3
