Makeup is something I've always been into but I've never been the best at putting it on. I love experimenting with different products and seeing what works the best for me. I've been super curious about the oval brushes by Artis but couldn't justify spending around $300 for them. So I quickly began searching the internet far and wide and thankfully found some knock offs on Amazon!
My presentation of them isn't the best since I like to keep things in packages if I haven't used them yet (I blame that on my OCD) I did use the biggest oval brush and the second biggest oval brush which is intended for foundation and blush. I found the foundation brush really good at blending in my foundation smoothly. I usually use the makeup sponges which totally reminds me of high school because that's all I knew how to use. You'd think with being on set and getting my makeup done numerous times I would have this thing down. I'm happy to say I am now team oval brush! The blush brush was excellent at blending in my bronzer/blush as well too! I don't know what it is about these brushes but I will continue to use these. I'm a bit unsure of how people use the smaller brushes for eyeliner and eye shadow but I'll save that for another blog post/vlog!
Eye shadow palettes are something I've always been addicted to growing up and when it came time to spend my Ulta gift card I decided on the Carly Bybel palette by BH Cosmetics. What caught my attention was how affordable and gorgeous the colors are. Also they came with four highlighters which I've been wanting to try for a while now! Plus this palette is retailing for around $16 which is a steal in my book! I use a lot of gold tones and neutral eye shadows so I found this set useful for everyday looks.
